Terms of Service

Last updated: May 22, 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or calling the TrustRegistry API, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. The service

TrustRegistry provides programmatic access to business identity verification data sourced from public state business registries. Coverage and data freshness are described in the documentation and may change as we expand.

3. Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or sublicense the raw API output as a competing data feed.
  • Do not use the API to harass individuals or for any unlawful purpose.
  • Protect your API keys; you are responsible for activity under your keys.

4. Fees

Paid plans are billed in advance per the plan you select. Overage, if any, is billed per the plan terms. Unsupported-state calls are not billed.

5. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is". Verification responses reflect the state of the underlying registry at the time of ingestion. TrustRegistry does not guarantee that any given verification result is sufficient for your compliance program, and you are responsible for the decisions you make using the API.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrustRegistry's aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
